Base pay range: $65,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr Location: San Jose, Palo Alto, San Francisco, California. Online applications accepted. Pay and benefits are described in the job post. This role is a Hospitality & Culinary Manager in Training (MIT) with opportunities available across the U.S. The role involves hands-on training and progression through Compass Group’s Accelerated Manager Program (AMP).

Role opportunities across the U.S. include various management disciplines such as Café, Catering, Chef, Retail, Dining Services, Customer Service, Merchandising, and Sous Chef management. OPPORTUNITIES & ROLE DESCRIPTION

As an MIT, you will gain preparation for a potential future role within our hospitality team leadership. You will learn best practices of your Compass Group sector and support areas such as marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing and supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, profit and loss, and more. You will be assigned to a training location to complete on-site learning while participating in AMP. Relocation within your assigned region may be required upon successful AMP completion for placement opportunities. Promotion to a full-time management position is based on performance and business need and is not guaranteed. Possible management assignments after AMP include: Café Management Catering Management Chef Management Retail Management Dining Services Management Customer Service Management Merchandising Management Sous Chef REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree received by May 2026 or prior (required) One year of culinary, customer service, hospitality work/internship experience Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity Demonstrated financial acumen including profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling skills Effective written and verbal communication with peers, employees, clients, and customers Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations Basic knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing Competency in all Microsoft Office applications Driver’s License (preferred, but may be required for certain roles) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
