Role Description As a Hospitality & Culinary Manager in Training (MIT), you will gain preparation for a potential future role within our hospitality team leadership. You will learn the best practices of your Compass Group sector and assist in areas such as marketing, customer service, retail, merchandising, purchasing and supply chain, hiring, training, payroll, profit and loss, and more. You will be assigned to a training location for hands-on onboarding while participating in Compass Group’s Accelerated Manager Program (AMP). Upon successful completion of AMP, relocation within your assigned region may be required for placement opportunities. Placement or promotion into a full-time management position is based on performance and business need and is not guaranteed.
Responsibilities / Opportunities
Possible managerial assignments in operational areas such as Café Management, Catering Management, Chef Management, Retail Management, Dining Services Management, Customer Service Management, Merchandising Management, Sous Chef.
About the Accelerated Manager Program (AMP) AMP is a fast-track leadership development program with assessment, training, and coaching. It includes a personalized learning path with experiential learning, micro-courses, and simulations, plus mentorship and evaluations. The program duration can be 12 weeks or more depending on needs and goals.
Competency-based assessment
Custom learning path with experiential learning
One-on-one peer support and mentorship
360° progress evaluation
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree received by May 2026 or prior (required)
One year of culinary, customer service, or hospitality work/internship experience
Willingness to relocate for the right role or advancement opportunity
Demonstrated financial acumen including profit and loss management, inventory, and cash handling
Effective written and verbal communication with peers, employees, clients, and customers
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of contract administration and client relations
Basic knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, and marketing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Driver’s License (preferred or may be required for certain roles)
