Healthcare Industry Group (HIG) delivers transformational change to healthcare clients, including health systems, providers, physician groups, and other healthcare entities. The Healthcare Services (HCS) practice focuses on performance improvement, cost optimization, M&A services, finance operations, interim management, and related advisory services for private equity portfolio companies and healthcare organizations. How You Will Contribute (Responsibilities)
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce cost structure by redesigning org structures and eliminating non-value-added tasks. Optimize month-end close processes and management reporting to support decision-making. Build and manage financial models and conduct financial and operating analyses (e.g., synergy analyses, 13-week cash flow, pro forma statements). Guide clients through crises or rapid change by structuring and executing performance improvement plans. Develop operational data analyses and KPI metrics to drive meaningful change; conduct client interviews to understand operations. Summarize analyses and formulate recommendations from large data sets. Lead multiple work streams within a project and manage day-to-day engagement priorities with guidance from senior leaders. Prepare client-ready deliverables and presentations; present to clients. Coach and mentor junior staff; build client relationships and identify opportunities to expand scope. Support marketing efforts through pitch preparation and marketing materials; contribute to building product and service offering tools and templates. Collaborate with teams to deliver transformational change in healthcare engagements. Qualifications
High-energy individual with passion for healthcare and solving complex issues. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare, consulting, or healthcare-related industries (e.g., healthcare banking, accounting, audit, private equity, or healthcare operations). Advanced Excel skills with ability to build 13-week cash flow forecasts and three-statement models; financial modeling required. Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with Visio, Tableau/Power BI, SQL, SPSS is a plus. Solid project management and organizational skills. Working knowledge of healthcare industry, including healthcare finance, operations, valuation, and related laws and regulations. Ability to use sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately; ability to coach and mentor junior staff. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present to client personnel at all levels. Willingness and ability to travel as required. BA/BS and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related healthcare fields (e.g., MHA, MPH); professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus or progress toward such certifications.
