Sr. Lead Server Engineer with Security Clearance

Overview
RMantra is seeking a Senior Lead Server Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC. The Senior Lead Server Engineer will provide technical leadership on major datacenter tasks or infrastructure assignments, establish goals and plans that meet program/project objectives, and lead major technology initiatives across multiple project assignments. This role involves systems engineering across the full system life cycle to support datacenter modernization and requires onsite presence at a government building in downtown Washington, DC three days per week. Responsibilities
Plan and lead major technology assignments; evaluate performance results and recommend changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Serve as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and develop system architectures that align with Enterprise Architecture standards. Develop and document system development and integration methodologies and standards (e.g., ELCM). Facilitate collection, storage, security, and integrity of electronic data with appropriate access controls. Assess the technology needs of government customers and select technologies that advance the mission; prepare for Cloud Services. Provide excellent 3rd level support and drive innovation in IT services (IaaS and SaaS). Monitor servers, core applications, and test procedures for recovery from catastrophic failure; support COOP/DRP programs. Monitor datacenter environment and maintain hardware inventory; implement a Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP). Ensure business solutions are consistent with client goals and investments; apply business process improvement practices. Research and evaluate system designs to select appropriate technology and ensure efficient resource use. Lead and oversee a team of engineers as required. Develops user requirements and ensures alignment with client strategic goals. Apply best-practice processes in design, development, integration, and implementation of systems. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field. Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Base-level certification such as A+, Security+, or Network+. Core certification within the functional area (e.g., Server (MCSA, MCSP, MCSE, Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), VMware Professional, VMware Advanced Professional, VMware Specialist). Location & Onsite Requirement
