Overview

We have a permanent vacancy for a Salaried GP for 6/7 sessions. Many of our existing GPs were trainees at the practice which reflects our friendly, supportive, and inclusive culture. Fireclay

places great value on teaching, training, and mentoring; you will be given an extensive induction and assigned a GP mentor. We encourage all GPs to meet at break times to discuss patient cases and, importantly, to socialise. You will be joining an organisation who care about their staff. Fireclay

is based in East Bristol, working from 2 purpose-built buildings and supports 24,500 patients. We are a happy and very stable team of 84 personnel, which includes 8 GP Partners and 9 salaried GPs, 5 ANPs, 6 pharmacists, 2 physios, 2 physician assistants, a structured nursing team and a strong and supportive management and non-clinical team. The practice is open to innovative ways of working that provide the best experience for our patients and improve job satisfaction and efficiency for all our staff. We offer A competitive salary of £11,100 per session and NHS Pension. Nurse led home visiting service, low GP home visit rate. We have a large admin and Med Man team with well-established systems in place to minimise daily workflow for GPs. A fantastic, supportive clinical team. Effective care navigation system via Total Triage and dedicated slots for vulnerable patients. Main duties of the job

To deliver appropriate management, treatment, and advice to our patients. To uphold the principles of good medical practice as stated in the GMC statement of professional values and responsibilities: Make the care of your patient your first concern. Treat every patient politely and considerately. Respect patients\' dignity and privacy. Listen to patients and respect their views. Give patients information in a way they can understand. Respect the rights of patients to be fully involved in decisions about their care. Keep your professional knowledge and skills up to date. Recognise the limits of your professional competence. Be honest and trustworthy; respect and protect confidential information. Make sure that your personal beliefs do not prejudice your patients' care. Act quickly to protect patients from risk if you have good reason to believe that you or a colleague may not be fit to practice. To provide general practice consultations to patients and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying or reducing the risk of disease or injury. To arrange referrals for patients where appropriate. To provide reports and information to external agencies for the benefit of patients, e.g., social services, social prescribing, housing department, benefits agency. To ensure that clear, accurate contemporaneous records are made of all patient encounters. Personal & Professional Development To maintain all appropriate current professional registrations, qualifications, certificates, and levels of practical competence, as required to perform your duties as a general medical practitioner. To maintain own personal professional development and continuing medical education to ensure knowledge and skills are up to date. To engage in external appraisal and revalidation system. To contribute to the provision of a learning environment and participate in the training of clinical and non-clinical personnel. To attend and contribute to the practice meetings. To participate in audit and clinical governance initiatives which are deemed necessary by the practice partners. Person Specification
