Overview

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dynamic Consultant Radiologist with a sub-specialty interest in Nuclear Medicine. The post is based at either the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle or West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven and covers North Cumbria. Applications are welcomed from both existing and newly trained Consultants. Main duties

The appointee will, with existing consultant colleagues, be responsible for providing a comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective clinical radiology service to the Trust and other users of the service. About us

Education and qualifications

FRCR or equivalent Full GMC registration Inclusion on the Specialist Registrar in Radiology (or within six months of inclusion on GMC specialist register) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or within six months of award Post graduate certification in nuclear medicine Higher Degree Sub-specialist training/fellowship Leadership and training experience ARSAC Experience and knowledge

High standard of clinical radiology skill Clinical Governance Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on radiological problems across emergencies, inpatients and electives Excellent communication with patients and colleagues Ability to take full responsibility for clinical care ATLS Management and administrative

Efficient running of Radiology service On-call cover Workload management Experience of Audit Management Teaching

Experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate staff Ability to teach clinical skills Teaching of non-medical health professionals Educational qualification Research, audit and clinical governance
