Specialty Representative, Dermatology - Las Vegas North This is a field-based role. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. The geography covers Northern Las Vegas, Summerlin, and all of Northern Nevada (Reno, Tahoe, Sparks, Carson City, etc.). Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and provide customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance. Place the patient at the center of any efforts and operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc., in order to meet or exceed those objectives. Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings, concerns, and consistently gain actions to close on every sales call. Proactively and continuously strive to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy and execution. Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience required. Relevant and equivalent industry experience required; if no bachelor’s degree, at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred; a high school diploma/GED required. Proven track record of success in selling and solid presentation skills. Ability to identify customer style/behavior and adapt selling approach quickly; offers innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities. Influences others and is viewed as a credible and respected resource among peers. Builds collaborative partnerships and leads by example; demonstrates positive behaviors and coaching. Documented success in leadership and supportive roles with increased responsibility at district, region, or organizational levels. Uses findings to develop sales strategies. Preferred: proven sales performance in the respective therapeutic areas; pharmaceutical industry experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed care, or marketing is a plus. English proficiency in both speaking and writing for non-English speaking countries. HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; must be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials. Willingness to meet credentialing requirements, including background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and any state/city licenses. AbbVie provides resources to answer questions. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; operates effectively in a matrix environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; ability to drive a personal auto or company vehicle; may involve use of powered equipment. Other information
