Market Research Manager, Market Strategy & Understanding – Ipsos in US. Location: Chicago, IL. This role focuses on executional excellence, client service, and collaboration within the Market Strategy & Understanding (MSU) service line. Responsibilities
Client Management Responsibilities
– Shares documents, schedules and field updates. Participates in client conversations, contributing to basic presentations of documents and research findings with gradual development in the role. Engages in broader team conversations that link past research and upcoming proposal opportunities to current research. Role Summary
– Focus on executional excellence; manage projects start-to-finish with some supervision; interact with clients on execution-focused tasks and contribute to presentations for basic results; provide pricing support and material development for proposals; participate in methodological considerations and recommendations as part of a larger account team; oversee and coordinate with junior team members; involved in analytic plans and report writing to find the data story. Project Management Responsibilities
– Custom survey development, link checking, fieldwork monitoring, data processing and analysis planning, report visualization and storytelling guidance, report population and development; oversee Analyst tasks and ensure quality; perform tasks under supervision of manager/senior team members. Employee Management Responsibilities
– May act as manager to Analysts or Senior Analysts; oversee training schedules, day-to-day workload guidance and supervision, and provide feedback. Strategic Thinking Expectations
– Minor strategic thinking with a focus on developing analytical skills; observe more senior team members’ client interactions and decision-making; proactively seek industry information related to client needs to anticipate them. Qualifications
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically Excel and PowerPoint Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness Ability to positively interact with internal support teams Excellent organizational skills and commitment to accuracy Data savvy with basic knowledge of SPSS or other quantitative tools a plus Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong client service orientation Ability to manage complex budgets and develop project plans, schedules and budgets Self-directed, motivated, and able to work within tight deadlines Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills Completed Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree is an asset At least 2 years of market research experience Salary range in New York, NY: $75,000 to $80,000.
