The Market Research Manager, Market Strategy & Understanding leads executional activities across client work and internal projects, supporting the project lifecycle from start to finish with supervision as needed. This role combines client management, project execution, analytics, and team coordination to deliver research-driven insights. Responsibilities

Client Management Responsibilities

Share documents, schedules and field updates. Participate in client conversations, contributing to basic presentations of documents and research findings with a gradual increase in responsibility. Engage in broader team discussions that link past research and upcoming proposals to current research work.

Role Summary

Focus on executional excellence while growing internal and client partnership skills. Understand the project lifecycle for custom research and manage projects start-to-finish with some supervision. Interact with clients on execution-focused tasks and contribute to presentations for basic results. Provide pricing support and material development for proposals as requested. Participate in methodological considerations and recommendations as part of a larger account team. Oversee and coordinate with junior team members, delegating work, providing instructions and quality control. Be involved in analytic plans and aspects of report writing to extract insights from data.

Project Management Responsibilities

Custom survey development Link checking Fieldwork monitoring Data processing and analysis planning Report visualization and storytelling guidance Report population and development Overseeing the role of Analysts on these tasks, where applicable Tasks performed under supervision of managers or senior team members

Employee Management Responsibilities

May act as manager to Analysts or Senior Analysts as they rotate through the service line. Oversee training schedules, day-to-day workload guidance and supervision, and provide feedback.

Strategic Thinking Expectations

Minor strategic thinking with focus on developing analytical skills; observe more senior team members’ client interactions and decision-making. Proactively seek industry information related to client needs to anticipate requirements.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint Outstanding attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks Ability to positively interact with internal support teams Superior organizational skills and commitment to accuracy Data savvy with basic knowledge of SPSS or other quantitative tools a plus Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong client service orientation Ability to manage complex budgets and to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget Highly motivated, self-directed and capable of meeting tight deadlines Team player with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Bachelor's degree; master's level education is an asset At least 2 years of market research experience If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply. The salary range for this role in New York, NY is $75,000 to $80,000.
