Overview Market Research Manager, Market Strategy & Understanding role focusing on executional excellence, client collaboration, and project leadership within the Market Strategy & Understanding service line. The position involves coordinating with junior team members, participating in client conversations, and supporting proposals and research delivery.

Responsibilities

Client Management: share documents, schedules and field updates; participate in client conversations; contribute to presentations of documents and research findings with increasing ownership over time; link past research and upcoming proposals to current research.

Role Execution: manage projects start-to-finish with some supervision; interact with clients on execution-focused tasks; contribute to presentations for basic results; provide pricing support and material development for proposals as requested; participate in methodological discussions as part of the broader account team; oversee and coordinate with junior team members, delegating work and ensuring quality control.

Project Management: execute activities such as custom survey development, link checking, fieldwork monitoring, data processing and analysis planning, report visualization and storytelling guidance, report population and development; supervise Analysts as needed.

Employee Management: may act as manager to Analysts or Senior Analysts, including overseeing training schedules, day-to-day workload guidance, supervision, and providing feedback.

Strategic Thinking: perform minor strategic thinking focused on developing analytical skills; observe senior team members’ client interactions and decision-making; proactively seek industry information related to client needs to anticipate requirements.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness

Ability to positively interact with internal support teams

Strong organizational skills and commitment to data accuracy

Data-savvy with basic knowledge of SPSS or other quantitative tools is a plus

Ability to manage multiple projects with a client service orientation

Ability to manage complex budgets, create and manage project plans, schedules and budgets

Self-directed, motivated, capable of working under tight deadlines; thrives in a team environment

Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree an asset

At least 2 years of market research experience
