Overview
The EHS Specialist II supports daily environmental, health, and safety (EHS) operations at the San Diego site. This role assists with program implementation, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, conducts inspections and training, and supports key risk-reduction initiatives. This individual collaborates cross-functionally to help maintain a safe and compliant workplace. Responsibilities
Conduct routine EHS inspections and audits and follow through on identified remedial actions. Support incident investigations and track corrective actions. Assist with maintaining relevant EHS documentation including training records, inspections records, etc. Coordinate hazardous waste pickups and documentation. Provide EHS training to new and existing employees. Support risk assessments and ergonomic evaluations. Assist in maintaining EHS management systems. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Cal/OSHA regulations. Collaborate with other functions to address EHS concerns. Support emergency response and evacuation drills. Support and participate in EHS campaigns and activities. Serve as the EHS business partner to assigned functional unit(s); supporting EHS programs including but not limited to EHS change management, etc. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business. Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Health, and Safety or any other related field. Preferred
Certifications such as HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, etc., is a plus or ability to obtain them within 3 years of hire. Minimum Experience
A minimum of 1-3 years of EHS experience in regulated environments (medical device, pharma, or biotech preferred). Demonstrated experience in leading EHS programs. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and EHS systems preferred. Basic Knowledge And Skills

Salary Range: $87,500.00 - $144,400.00 USD Annual. The actual offer is based on experience, education, skills, and location.
