Overview
Technical Accounting Manager, Intangible Assets. The Technical Accounting Manager owns accounting and reporting related to Kraft Heinz’s global portfolio of iconic brands and goodwill, which total more than $70 billion. The primary responsibilities include the annual goodwill and other intangible assets impairment test and ongoing accounting of these assets. The role requires collaboration with global and zone finance to understand brand and operating segment strategic plans, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines. The role may lead ad hoc projects related to M&A activity and other technical accounting matters. Strong financial systems knowledge or experience with deals or valuations is a plus. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the flow of financial information across systems and teams, and drive projects to completion. This is a high-visibility role within an elite accounting team and offers opportunities to learn the business and build relationships at Kraft Heinz. What’s on the menu? Oversee team of 2-3 staff members Develop and manage timeline for the annual goodwill and other intangible asset impairment testing Review and analyze historical results, long-term forecasts, and forecast support used in valuations Liaise with the third-party valuation firm to coordinate deliverables and review inputs and assumptions Maintain strong internal controls and related documentation Support internal and external audit work Execute monthly goodwill and intangible asset routines (journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.) Draft disclosures related to goodwill and intangible assets in quarterly and annual SEC filings Prepare quarterly accounting analyses and related memoranda Research technical accounting issues and develop positions to ensure compliance with accounting rules Conduct special projects, as required Recipe for Success – apply now if this sounds like you! Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting required, CPA highly preferred 5 years of relevant experience required Proficiency with SOX compliance from prior public accounting audit experience with an emphasis in SEC engagements and/or industry experience at a large, public multi-national company Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills with the ability to operate with a team, customer service, and leadership mentality Ability to effectively lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, while operating in a fast-paced, complex global organization with shifting schedules and priorities Our Total Rewards philosophy is to provide a meaningful and flexible spectrum of programs that equitably support our diverse workforce and their families and complement Kraft Heinz’ strategy and values. New Hire Base Salary Range:
$102,100.00 - $127,600.00 Bonus:
This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
