The primary duty of the Construction Management Business Class Director is to provide strategic focus nationally on positioning HDR as a preferred provider for construction services in the water infrastructure industry. The Director leads CM business development, project delivery, and group leadership/communications across the Business Group, codifying best practices, tools, templates, and protocols to sustain successful Construction Management delivery. This position reports to the WBG Service Delivery Director. Responsibilities

Business Development:

Maintain market intelligence regarding industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires; capture HDR and competition SOQs, proposals, presentations, and scopes of work with fees; ensure CM pursuit targets and client maintenance plans across regions; support capture planning, preproposal visits, qualifications, and proposal preparation to standardize HDR CM business development; provide marketing support on pursuits; maintain major CM/PM/CM projects list; maintain tool kit and SharePoint sites; implement presentation/interview training workshops for Senior Construction Managers. Project Delivery:

Capture and disseminate CM delivery lessons learned; ensure HDR best practices, templates, and protocol are used coast to coast; work with other directors on delivery of projects and long-term tactical plans for the water program; provide principal level project management and issue resolution; track project costs against budget and incorporate lessons learned into future scopes/he fees; maintain CM/CI resources and perform CM resource planning; lead PARR reviews and train staff to be Lead Reviewers; perform site audits; promote RAKEN Field Reporting App and update HDR Technical Guidelines as needed; promote and administer Newforma CA for workflows and dashboards; serve as the WBG point of contact for CMIS questions; update and maintain HDR Construction Management Manual and related forms and checklists for access across the Business Group. Leadership & Communications:

Reinvigorate the CM Practice Community with regular calls and communications; collaborate with Field Services Communications Director and other leaders; lead CMAA engagement, maintain CCM designation program, and manage membership and awards processes; ensure CM staff development through training plans and sessions. Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years in managing construction delivery programs for water infrastructure; PE or related professional certifications are desirable; location flexibility to any HDR US office. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a professional, architecture, engineering, or closely related field; minimum 10 years of related experience; professional registration and related technical experience; experience in developing and managing diverse teams; ability to work collaboratively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers; commitment to quality and HDR values; active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential.
