Our client, a dynamic public accounting firm with offices in New Jersey and New York, is looking to add a Tax Senior Manager with expertise in Consumer Products to their team. Responsibilities
Lead and manage tax engagements for clients primarily in the Consumer Products industry Review federal, state, and local income tax filings for businesses and C-corporations Advise clients on complex tax matters including inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, state and local tax nexus, and multi-state filing requirements Conduct tax research and provide clients with recommendations and strategic tax planning opportunities Manage and mentor a team of staff and senior accountants to ensure engagement deadlines and quality standards are met Communicate with clients and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and proactively address client needs Collaborate with Partners to support business development and identify new opportunities within the Consumer Products vertical Stay current on changes in tax regulations and industry trends that may impact clients Qualifications
Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Experience leading and reviewing tax engagements for Consumer Products clients Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax rules; ability to advise on inventory accounting and COGS; multi-state filing requirements Ability to mentor staff and collaborate with Partners on business development Excellent communication and client-relations skills
