Overview

Lead Technical Product Manager position with Sun Life U.S. (DentaQuest) focused on re-architecting and re-platforming the adjudication application. The role collaborates with engineers, client user experience and design teams, architects, business owners, and product management to bring ideas from inception to delivery. Healthcare experience is preferred; candidate should demonstrate curiosity and a passion for helping clients achieve financial security and healthier lives. Location

Solicit and gather information to categorize and prioritize user stories for the re-platforming and modernization of adjudication systems. Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and the development team to ensure clarity, alignment, and successful implementation of the product vision. Partner with CIOs/CTOs to ensure IT product alignment with organizational needs. Drive IT solutions through change management and training programs. Represent the voice of the customer by synthesizing information from direct client feedback, stakeholder feedback, market research, competitor analysis, and user testing. Demonstrate understanding of core product concepts such as strategic thinking, delivery, agile planning, and design thinking. Lead a team of engineers through backlog refinement, planning and estimation, balancing customer needs with engineering capacity. Be adaptive; may mentor other product managers or work directly with a scrum team as the product owner managing the product backlog. Advocate for the product by making tough decisions, prioritizing tasks, and guiding the development team toward common product goals. Maintain a prioritized and refined product backlog aligned with company goals. Author feature briefs and user stories, conduct acceptance testing, and create release notes and wiki-based product documentation. Work independently using leading product management skills, tools, practices, and techniques for all deliverables. Collaborate with support teams to triage production issues, perform impact analysis, and support engineering resolve. Be curious and data-driven; contribute to KPI and product metric definitions and analysis in support of OKRs. Be flexible and able to master new topic areas quickly; be a team player with a strong work ethic. Qualifications

Five or more years of experience as a product manager, product owner, or similar role in software development. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business management or a technical field is preferred. Experience in product backlog management using Agile methodologies. Deep understanding of healthcare claims adjudication systems (claims intake, pre-adjudication, adjudication rule engine, EOB, EDI) is required. Experience aligning product roadmaps with the company's business strategy; ability to set long-term goals and prioritize features based on value and market trends. Experience re-platforming enterprise applications to different platforms or the cloud; knowledge of modern IT architecture and APIs. Experience in HealthTech and digital transformation initiatives. Product manager certification or equivalent experience, preferably CSPO or PSPO. Strong Agile experience with tools such as Jira; ability to author product documentation on Confluence. Collaborative and influential working style; able to engage team members to achieve objectives. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; professional and timely. Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Benefits/HR technology or insurance experience is a plus, but not required. Salary and benefits

Salary: $97,900 - $146,900. The company emphasizes pay transparency and equity; actual base salary is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. Eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on individual and company performance.
