Position Summary
To provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process and maintaining compliance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act. The provision of this care is to be conducted in a collaborative manner with all members of the healthcare team to deliver quality care and the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of recent (within the last year) Acute Care ER RN experience.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited institution required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure required. If holding a license in another state, active FL RN compact license required within 90 days of hire. Advanced Nurse Practitioner license acceptable.
- Client or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required within 30 days.

- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues.
- Identifies expected outcomes and develops a plan to achieve them.
- Implements the plan and evaluates progress.
- Enhances nursing practice quality and effectiveness.
- Maintains current nursing knowledge and skills.
- Exercises independent judgment in patient care within an interdisciplinary team.
- Evaluates own practice against standards and regulations.
- Collaborates professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Integrates research into practice.
- Considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in care planning.
- Provides leadership and follows safety guidelines.
- Performs unit-specific duties and other assigned tasks, including floating as needed.
