Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Oncology RN for a 12-week travel assignment in Cumming, Georgia. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to cancer patients in hospital and clinical settings, administer treatments, manage side effects, and support patients and families.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • One year of recent experience as an Oncology RN
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
  • ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Essential responsibilities

  • Educate patients and families about oncology procedures and treatments
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments per oncology nursing techniques
  • Prepare and maintain oncology-specific equipment and assist oncologists
  • Monitor comfort, safety, side effects; implement interventions to improve quality of life
  • Assess and document patient conditions and responses
  • Maintain detailed nursing documentation in medical records
  • Respond to life-saving situations per oncology standards and protocols
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans for patients and families
  • Participate in oncology quality improvement initiatives
  • Advocate for patients and support navigation of treatment plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
  • Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards
