Overview

Responsible for selecting the best products for online shoppers and accurately fulfilling online grocery orders.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting care and patience in all interactions.
• Greets customers and learns names where possible.
• Assist customers by escorting to products, securing items, loading heavy items, noting customer suggestions, and performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
• Answer telephones and emails promptly with friendly, helpful service.
• Accurately selects groceries ordered online by customers and selects high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Scan and bag items from all temperature zones; adhere to company policies and store guidelines.
• Report to work as scheduled and on time.

Secondary Duties And Responsibilities

• Tender customer orders through POS and process payments.
• Store orders at proper temperatures and retrieve prior to customer arrival; maintain temperature control throughout.
• Cart orders to holding area for pickup and assist in loading groceries into customer vehicles.
• Monitor online orders to ensure prompt fulfillment; complete other duties as required.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Problem identification and solution execution abilities.
• Ability to substitute products for customers when requested or when unavailable.

Physical Requirements

• Visual acuity to see details; ability to lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Required physical activities include stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

Retail store setting with potential dust, noise, and temperature extremes. Possible hazards from moving equipment and electrical shock. Fast-paced with deadlines and multiple projects.

Equipment Used

Pallet jack, cash registers, trash compactor, forklift, calculator, telephone, intercom, copier, etc.

Contacts

Daily contact with store personnel, customers, and the general public.
