Job Title:
Senior Buyer/Planner
Location:
On-site in San Ramon, CA
Contract ongoing
Pay range: $30-40/hour
Summary: This strategic role combines production planning, purchasing, and supplier management to support business growth. The Senior Buyer/Planner oversees planning for raw materials and finished goods, manages supplier relationships, and aligns operations with commercial and financial goals. The position also supports integrated business planning and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities: Develop production schedules and material plans
Manage supplier performance and purchase orders
Support planning inputs for business forecasting
Maintain dashboards and analytics for decision-making
Monitor inventory levels and optimize flow
Address production issues and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with manufacturing on capacity and resource planning
Coach junior planners and document standard processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
5+ years in planning/procurement roles
ERP/MRP and advanced Excel/Tableau proficiency
Experience with Lean tools and vendor management
Strong analytical and leadership skills
