Responsibilities
- Payroll & Benefits Administration
Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Serve as the point of contact for payroll and benefit inquiries from employees.
Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k), leave programs, and open enrollment.
Partner with vendors and brokers to ensure accuracy of benefits data and resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile payroll and benefits deductions and support audits and reporting as needed. - Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
Assist hiring managers with recruitment strategies and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Lead the onboarding process from offer letter through new hire orientation and systems setup. - Immigration Support
Partner with legal counsel to manage and maintain employee work authorization.
Maintain immigration records and support compliance with immigration laws. - General HR Operations
Maintain HRIS and employee records ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
Support performance management cycles and training initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Assist with internal HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor, etc.).
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration processes (H-1B, OPT/CPT, green cards).
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
