Overview
We’re looking for a charismatic, curious, and deeply thoughtful
Lead Interviewer & Story Producer
to conduct
on-camera interviews
with startup founders and CEOs. You’ll be responsible for uncovering the personal, professional, and company narratives that define these leaders and will be used to create impactful content that resonates across platforms.
This is a high-trust, high-visibility, founder-facing role. You’ll be the face of our founder interaction and a key voice in how Blazel captures the story and voice they want to project across platforms.
What You’ll Do
Conduct in-depth, on-camera interviews with founders, CEOs, and startup leaders
Research each guest’s background, company, and market to craft insightful questions
Collaborate with our content team to digest the interviewers' information that will shape narrative arcs
Build rapport with our partner founders, CEOs, and startup leaders to guide them through a thoughtful interview experience
Partner with VC firms, incubators, and startup communities to identify compelling stories
Contribute to interview and editorial strategy for our founder-facing interview process
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in journalism, media, broadcasting, or founder-facing storytelling
Proven track record in interviewing guests on-camera
Strong on-camera presence and ability to guide authentic, emotionally intelligent conversations
Deep curiosity about startups, venture capital, and founder psychology and philosophy
Comfort working in a fast-paced, founder-facing environment with high editorial standards
Nice to Have
Experience being client-facing with startup founders, VCs, or executives
Background in venture capital, startup media, or tech journalism
