Responsibilities
- Act as Executive Sales Account Manager in the welding and industrial gases sector, managing and growing key client relationships; primary point of contact for strategic accounts; drive revenue growth by understanding customer needs and providing comprehensive solutions across welding processes, industrial gases (including bulk and cylinder), and a full range of welding hard goods (equipment, consumables, safety gear).
- Identify business ideas and opportunities by researching industry and related events; track contributions and accomplishments; screen potential deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; resolve internal priorities.
- Acquire new and competitive accounts with emphasis on metal fabrication business and product sale agreements.
- Develop and negotiate contracts; submit sales activity reports (via Salesforce), including weekly itineraries and other reports to leadership on a regular schedule.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads; develop negotiating strategies by studying integration of new business with company strategies and operations.
- Demonstrate products to customers; act as liaison between customer and company regarding pricing, products, delivery, payments, service, and inquiries.
- Complete and submit month-end reports, expense reports, mileage reports, etc., in a timely manner; update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networks.
- Work safely and comply with all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by state, federal, and company requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (required): Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Engineering (especially Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding Engineering), or a related technical field.
Technical Expertise
This role requires technical proficiency in:
- Welding Processes: SMAW, GMAW/MIG, GTAW/TIG, FCAW, SAW; cutting processes: Plasma, Oxy-Fuel, Laser; robotic and automated welding; welding metallurgy basics.
- Industrial Gases: common welding gases (Argon, CO2, Oxygen, Acetylene, Nitrogen, Hydrogen, Helium, and gas mixtures); gas delivery systems; safety regulations.
- Hard Goods (Welding Equipment & Consumables): welding machines, electrodes, filler metals, PPE, torches, cables, gauges.
- Automation & Robotics: familiarity with robotic welding cells and automated solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree (preferred): MBA or relevant engineering discipline.
- Certifications (beneficial): AWS CWI, CSP, or other industry certifications.
