Role Summary/Purpose We are looking for a passionate and seasoned marketing professional to lead the Lifecycle Marketing team within the Health and Wellness vertical at Synchrony Financial. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role will be pivotal in defining the vision for our Lifecycle marketing resources and technology stack, implementing strategic planning processes, elevating insights and analytics, and streamlining marketing functions to align with our business objectives. This role will lead and mentor a high-performing team to drive these initiatives forward. Responsibilities

Process Management: Simplify Lifecycle Marketing’s strategic workflows. Develop, manage, and optimize automated and systematic processes for strategic planning, project and campaign workflows, and stakeholder approvals. Ensure efficiency through consistent processes adhering to brand, content, and regulatory governance; connect upstream strategic work with downstream execution for optimum workflows. Financial Management: Oversee $160mm+ Marketing’s budget and prioritize spend. Manage budget with alignment to enterprise financial requirements, including revenue and profitability goals. Establish fiscal-year budget accountability and align with cost-optimization strategies; implement scenario planning for resource prioritization and allocation for an 80+ org. Ensure marketing tech supports budget management, reporting, and analysis aligned with enterprise finance requirements. Performance Management: Evaluate Marketing’s Impact. Oversee lifecycle marketing performance and measure value and impact; ensure campaigns align with business goals and optimize ROI across investments. Lead martech strategy, stack, and roadmap; enable well-orchestrated customer journeys and digital experiences; leverage GenAI tools. Talent and Learning: Lead Marketing’s Learning Agenda. Upskill the team on martech (GenAI, data, multichannel platforms) and develop soft skills (strategic thinking); promote best practices for a progressive marketing organization. Lead training on emerging technologies and vendor capabilities; foster continuous learning and essential soft skills. Resource Management: Scale Marketing’s Resources and Agency Roster. Manage Lifecycle marketing resources, internal centers of excellence, external vendors, and agency partners; plan capacity for agility; support in-house creative and content studios where applicable. Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent plus 15+ years of executive marketing leadership experience. 10+ years in areas such as consumer credit cards, healthcare, and direct marketing with lifecycle focus. Proven experience in B2B and B2C financial services with diverse customer segments. 7+ years experience planning, designing, building, or running business functions or processes; minimum 7 years of managerial responsibility. Desired Characteristics

Strategic marketing planning that drives growth and aligns with business objectives. Strong financial management and ability to manage complex marketing budgets. Data analysis and analytics capability to optimize performance and guide decisions. Deep knowledge of marketing tech stacks; experience managing martech strategy and roadmap. Proven leadership in mentoring and developing high-performing teams; continuous learning culture. Experience leading learning agendas for GenAI and related technologies; strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Salary and Benefits

Grade/Level: 15. The salary range for this position is

200,000.00 - 330,000.00

USD annually. Eligible for an annual incentive plan target of 25% of salary and an annual equity target of 25% of salary. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and market considerations. Salaries may vary by location (CA, NY Metro, Seattle). Eligibility and Compliance
