MEP Site Manager studies the mechanical, electrical, piping, plumbing and fire protection specifications to plan procedures for construction on the basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction. Why Gray?

What We Expect (essential Functions)
Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of the MEP Project Manager. Assist in the development of the MEP project schedule within the overall construction schedule; prepare estimates for MEP self-performed work and assist in the complete project estimate; coordinate/manage all trades throughout the build process. Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices. Assist in the preparation of reports (cost to complete, monthly billings, status reports). Review drawings (P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc.) and coordinate a current set on site. Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders for review by the MEP Project Manager. Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project. Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion; schedule work including subcontractors. Assist in productivity and quantity tracking of subcontractors’ installed work. Determine materials, equipment and tools needed; secure supply sources. Set up and close out construction site; act as on-site Safety Officer when not otherwise assigned and participate in the company’s safety program. Procure tools and materials to meet work schedules. Consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and coordinate phases of construction to prevent delays. Prepare or review progress, materials used and costs; adjust schedules as directed by the MEP Project Manager. Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with company and industry standards and project specifications. Ensure use and maintenance of Gray’s QMS program and generate reports for continuous improvement. Communicate, implement and enforce Gray’s safety program on site. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school AND a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience OR a minimum of 15 years related construction experience with increasing responsibility in lieu of a degree. Industry experience with data centers and/or mission-critical facilities preferred. 5+ years of experience in electrical construction supervision highly desired. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents. Strong people management skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), tablets and smartphones; MS Project or other scheduling software a plus. Energetic, self-motivated team player with collaboration and professional development orientation. Ability to work independently and manage without direct supervision. Willingness to travel as projects are located across the United States and, in some cases, internationally. Travel
