Construction Management Business Class Director (Water Business Group) – HDR The primary duty of the Construction Management Business Class Director is to provide strategic focus nationally on positioning HDR as a preferred provider for construction services specifically for the water infrastructure industry. The Director shall provide Business Group wide leadership regarding CM business development, project delivery and group leadership/communications. The role reports to the WBG Service Delivery Director. Responsibilities

Business Development:

Maintain market intelligence regarding industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires. Capture HDR and competition SOQs, proposals, presentations, scopes of work with associated fees. Ensure all regions maintain CM pursuit target lists and Client Maintenance plans relevant to CM delivery. Support capture planning efforts, preproposal visitations, qualifications and proposal preparation to standardize HDR CM business development and client interaction. Provide marketing support on pursuits to elevate HDR’s selection hit rate. Maintain List of Major CM or PM/CM or OA/CM Projects and promote best practices/tools across the Business Group. Implement presentation/interview training workshops for all Senior Construction Managers. Project Delivery:

Capture/disseminate relevant CM delivery lessons learned as necessary. Ensure use of HDR best practices, procedures, templates and protocol for more consistent CM delivery coast to coast. Collaborate with other Business Class Directors on delivery of existing projects and development of long-term tactical plans for the water construction services program. Provide principal level project management and issue resolution when needed. Track and trend actual project delivery costs against budget and apply lessons learned to future scope/fee development. Maintain list of CM/CI resources and provide CM resource planning across the Business Group. Lead PARR reviews (for projects entering construction). Train staff to be Lead Reviewers and participate in reviews as needed. Conduct project site audits to ensure proper CM protocol and address performance with the Owner. Promote and manage use of RAKEN Field Reporting App; update HDR Technical Guidelines as needed; coordinate license renewals and procurement. Promote and administer use of Newforma Construction Administration (Newforma CA) software for workflows and dashboards. Serve as the WBG point of contact on CMIS questions. Update and maintain HDR Construction Management Manual, CM Procedures/Forms & Field Checklists; ensure CM access/use across the Business Group. Leadership and Communications:

Reinvigorate CM Practice Community; plan regular CM calls and share group wins and lessons learned. Collaborate with Field Services Communications Director, Construction Services Director, other CM Business Class Directors, SH&E Director, Field Services Client Development Lead, Project Controls Director, and CCC Director of Operations; participate in Field Services Steering Committee. Lead CMAA engagement; represent HDR as a CMAA member and board participant. Coordinate dues, sponsorships, and project awards nominations; maintain a list of HDR CCMs and encourage certification pursuit. Ensure WBG CM staff development; maintain CM training plans, protocols and sessions. Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years of experience in managing construction delivery programs for the water infrastructure industry; Professional Engineer (PE) or related certifications are desirable. Location: this position can be located in any HDR US office. Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field; minimum 10 years of related experience; professional registration; experience in development and management of diverse teams; ability to work cooperatively with other leaders; commitment to quality and HDR values; active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.
