Open Rank Temporary Research Professor Pool in the Institute of Environment The FIU Institute of Environment (IoE) is seeking applications for Temporary Research Faculty (Assistant, Associate, Professor) in fields of study relevant to Freshwater, Coastlines, Oceans and Conservation research. The IoE advances science and technology to address water and environmental issues locally, regionally, nationally and globally. The Institute supports interdisciplinary research, active learning and public engagement by linking top scientists with thought-leaders, business professionals, and collaborators across local, state, federal and international partners.

Responsibilities (may vary by project and candidate interests):

Conduct basic and/or applied research independently or with other faculty

Publish research in scholarly journals

Interact with graduate students

Submit competitive research proposals

Participate in outreach and community engagement

Financially support themselves and their research programs through external contracts, grants, or FIU funding mechanisms in collaboration with IoE faculty

Minimum requirements

Earned Ph.D. in a discipline supported by IoE

Two years of post-doctoral or related research experience

Proof of transferable salary
