Overview
Position: Director, Global Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). Location: St Louis, MO. The Environmental, Health and Safety Director ensures compliance with all EHS local, state and federal laws/regulations. They will be expected to develop and execute strategic objectives targeting EHS systems and processes. This role includes field support, auditing and continuous improvement, with some travel (20-30%). The position works cross-functionally with corporate, manufacturing, client installation, quality, engineering, and transportation teams. Responsibilities
Drive, update, and propose a comprehensive, multi-year strategy to advance EHS performance, covering personal safety, environment, occupational health and process safety, focusing on technical systems/standards and leadership/culture. Provide strategic leadership and guidance for the Safety Program including people, data and budget responsibilities. Manage employee safety training and equipment familiarization across all locations. Provide technical expertise and support to all company facilities on regulatory compliance in Environment, Health & Safety. Identify potential safety hazards and implement steps to reduce or mitigate risks. Build world-class safety programs leading to sustainable cultural change. Manage EHS information and reporting, including monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, analyses, and improvement actions. Conduct risk assessments of machine guarding and incident investigations. Chair the Executive Safety Committee and oversee Industrial Hygiene surveys and recommendations. Serve as a technical resource for three manufacturing sites on EHS programs and audit compliance with regulatory requirements. Support the field with required EHS reports for OSHA, EPA and local communities. Manage incident reporting and tracking, and OSHA recordkeeping across locations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience as a safety manager. BS/BA in safety management or related field is required. Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines. Ability to produce reports and develop policies. Strong data analysis and risk assessment skills. Excellent organizational and motivational abilities; attention to detail and strong communication. Manufacturing experience preferred. Benefits
