LHH has partnered with a premier boutique hotel located in San Diego to find a talented and experienced Hotel Controller. This property is known for its spacious accommodations, elevated guest service, and a range of upscale amenities, and a signature dining experience. This Controller will be hands on and as the sole contributor will manage the financial operations of the property. You will be responsible for budgeting, analyzing financials, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with department leaders to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Of This Direct Hire Controller Position Include: Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards Partner with operational teams to align financial goals Maintain internal controls and support audit processes Leverage financial software and tools for efficient reporting Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field Strong accounting background within the hospitality or Food and Beverage sectors Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, and 401K plan.
