HSE Director – 12-month contract - Ohio – Life Sciences This is a fantastic opportunity for a HSE Director to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Ohio. This is a large-scale greenfield capital project investing more than $1bn. Responsibilities
Manage Contractor Safety Management Program (CSMP) for large-scale projects in the USA region based on Global HSE Procedures and Specifications by adapting to local country regulations. Develop and implement Requirements which will consist of a “document” providing guidance to our projects to ensure their understanding and alignment with our fundamentals of safe work practices included in Master Specifications, Playbooks and environmental requirements. Implementation of Safety Leading / Lagging Indicators as well as other programs to drive a robust HSE implementation on these large-scale projects. Monitor and analyze project specific and EU regional safety performance for large-scale projects across multiple locations. Manage relationship with leveraged HSE Teams. Support Project Safety Orientation expectations aligned with compliance standards and industry trends. Work closely with Global HSE to ensure alignment with corporate priorities and standards. Requirements
At least 15 years’ experience managing HSE construction large-scale programs ($m+). Current in new HSE regulatory / compliance aspects of the role. Understanding of construction practices and processes. Identifies and resolves complex issues using depth and breadth of technical expertise. Ability, without authority, to influence Project Managers and HSE firms. Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills - Influential / motivational.
