Syntax Talent Solutions is hiring an Office Manager/Director of Accounting & Administrative Services. This leadership role will design, build, and oversee the firm's back-office infrastructure. The Director will be instrumental in modernizing systems, implementing scalable processes, and ensuring operational excellence to support the firm's continued growth. Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting and administrative operations, including payroll, benefits, HR compliance, and vendor contracts. Lead the firm's migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online, including multi-entity consolidations and automation of reconciliations. Partner with CPA firm and compliance advisors to manage audits, ESOP administration, and broker-dealer regulatory deadlines. Develop internal controls, reporting workflows, and budgeting processes to support decision-making at the leadership level. Supervise staff across administrative functions, ensuring deadlines are met and best practices are implemented. Support strategic initiatives by providing financial insights, resource planning, and system improvements. Qualifications
7+ years of experience in accounting/finance operations, with exposure to HR, payroll, and compliance functions. Strong QuickBooks expertise (Desktop & Online), with experience in multi-entity accounting. Familiarity with payroll systems such as Paychex, Rippling, or ADP. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Tech-forward and resourceful, with a track record of implementing modern systems.
