Construction Management Business Class Director (Water Business Group) – HDR. The primary duty is to provide strategic focus nationally on positioning HDR as a preferred provider for construction services in the water infrastructure industry. Reports to WBG Service Delivery Director. Watch Our Story: https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story The role involves leadership in CM business development, project delivery, and group leadership/communications across the Business Group, and codifying best practices, tools, templates, and protocols to sustain successful Construction Management delivery. Responsibilities

Business Development:

Maintain market intelligence regarding industry competition, potential partners, acquisitions and/or new hires. Capture HDR and competition SOQs, proposals, presentations, scopes of work with fees. Ensure regions maintain CM pursuit target lists and Client Maintenance plans relevant to CM delivery. Support capture planning, preproposal visits, qualifications, and proposal preparation to standardize HDR CM business development and client interaction. Provide marketing support on pursuits to elevate HDR’s selection hit rate. Maintain list of major CM or PM/CM or OA/CM projects. Maintain toolkit and SharePoint sites; promote best practices/tools across the Business Group. Implement presentation/interview training workshops for Senior Construction Managers. Project Delivery:

Capture/disseminate CM delivery lessons learned. Ensure use of HDR best practices, templates, and protocols for consistent CM delivery coast to coast. Collaborate with other BCDs on existing projects and long-term tactical plans for the water construction services program. Provide principal level project management and issue resolution when needed. Track actual delivery costs against budget and incorporate lessons learned into future scope/fee development. Maintain CM/CI resource lists and provide resource planning. Lead PARR reviews and train staff to be Lead Reviewers. Attend PARR reviews as needed. Perform site audits to ensure CM protocol and resources. Promote the RAKEN Field Reporting App; manage licenses and coordinate payment. Promote and administer Newforma Construction Administration (Newforma CA) for workflows and dashboards. Serve as WBG point of contact for CMIS questions. Update HDR Construction Management Manual, CM Procedures/Forms & Field Checklists; ensure CM access/use across the Business Group. Construction Management Leadership and Communications:

Reinvigorate CM Practice Community; conduct regular CM Practice calls and share wins, lessons learned. Collaborate with Field Services Communications Director, Construction Services Director, other BCDs, SH&E Director, Field Services Client Development Lead, Project Controls Director, CCC Director of Operations, and participate in Field Services Steering Committee. Lead CMAA engagement; represent HDR as a CMAA Board member; coordinate dues, sponsorship opportunities, and nominations for national project awards. Maintain list of HDR CCMs and encourage pursuit of CCM designation. Ensure staff development with CM training plans and sessions. Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 15+ years in managing construction delivery programs for water infrastructure. PE or related professional certifications desirable. Location: this position can be located in any HDR US office. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a professional field (Engineering, Architecture, or related). Minimum 10 years of related experience. Professional registration and related technical experience. Experience in development and management of diverse teams. Ability to work cooperatively with other BCDs, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers. Salary range and location details: The compensation range stated is $163,422-$324,250 depending on skills, experience, education, and location. Primary location: United States-Nebraska-Omaha.
