Overview
Job Title: Assistant Manager at Sally Beauty. Essential function: Store Managers lead store operations, develop and guide all store associates, drive brand standards, and ensure optimal customer experiences. Assist in planning to achieve KPIs and financial targets through analysis, action planning, communication and accountability. Assistant Managers support the Store Manager and assume Primary Duties when the Store Manager is not present. Responsibilities
Brand (30%): Supervise and direct associates’ daily goals to deliver an exceptional client experience, maximize sales/KPIs, and drive customer loyalty. Ensure brand standards are met (merchandising, Planograms/POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc.). Act as the primary contact to resolve customer issues and analyze store trends to anticipate customer demands. People (30%): Engage, train and develop teams to achieve positive results. Recruit to build a network of candidates and address performance through coaching or counseling. Enforce Company policies, maintain positive associate relations, inform associates of relevant Company information, and foster diversity, inclusion and belonging. Build strong working relationships with Store Manager peers and maintain communication with AM/DM. Operations (30%): Ensure execution of company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Support digital strategies and Omni-channel fulfillment. Manage inventory through ordering and shipment processing, payroll hours, store opening/closing procedures, and timely completion of Company directives and projects. Safety/Loss Prevention (10%): Maintain a safe store environment, enforce policies, protect assets through inventory and cash control, and use available reporting/tools. Ensure compliance with all HAZMAT training and execution. Knowledge, Skills/Abilities And Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred Ability to lead or support a team to meet business objectives Effective communication with team and management Must have scheduling availability to meet business needs Cosmetology license desirable, but not required Competencies
