Salary Range:
$61,500.00 - $91,875.00 Yale Athletics is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Director of Ticket Operations to assist the Assistant Athletic Director, Ticket Operations. Primary responsibilities include leading all outbound ticket sales efforts for Yale Athletic events. In addition, this position will be a primary contact for student and temporary/casual staff, effectively communicating weekly schedules, training, and payroll processing. The Assistant Director of Ticket Operations must adhere to all NCAA, ECAC, and Ivy League Conference Rules and Regulations. Day To Day Operations Of Ticket Office Serves as the primary ticket operations contact for assigned events, which involves oversight of all facets of the event operations, ensuring compliance with the University, state, and federal laws, policies, and regulations. Responsible for preparation of ticket sales for Yale University Athletics, updates and maintains the Yale Ticket Office Manual site for internal communication, including information from any relevant departmental units. Establishes best practices for ticket operations and ensures consistency in the program in compliance with University and NCAA regulations. Customer Relations Management: Complaint Resolution/Customer Retention/Customer Support/New customer registration. Oversees student and casual staff, which includes work allocation, training, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution. Ensures and develops an appropriate staffing plan for events, oversight of weekly payroll processing for the unit, collects ticket revenue adherence to university collection policies, tracks ticket sales to ensure all revenue is collected, reconciled, and verified in accuracy in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements. Strategize Ticket Sales Provides recommendations in the strategic planning and implementation of ticket sales initiatives, proposes and implements ticket sales strategy to maximize engagement and department revenue growth, and collaborates with ticketing software representatives. Required Skills And Abilities Knowledge of sales and customer services best practices and demonstrated track record in sales and building quality relationships. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with differing populations across the University and community. Ability to problem-solve and handle conflict independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks with evolving priority levels, adjusting focus as needed. Ability to operate independently, take initiative, and apply critical thinking to make sound decisions. Proficient technical abilities with electronic devices and software systems and confidence in the ability to quickly learn new devices and systems. Ability to lead, manage, and train a combination of temporary/casual staff and students. Preferred Education And Experience Experience in ticket operations and/or in a collegiate athletics environment. Strong supervisory or leadership experience. Principal Responsibilities In support of the overall mission, plans, directs, and oversees programmatic activities. Develops, implements, and maintains operational policies and procedures. Manages program communications; identifies outreach potential, and promotes philanthropic and collaborative support of the program. Works closely with leadership, internal and external colleagues, and community residents to further develop and implement strategic plans. Identifies, solicits, and cultivates community partnerships and collaborations to assist in the development and growth of the program. Tracks all program activities and regularly informs leadership of progress on each initiative. Recommends structural or programmatic adjustments, changes, or additions based on full knowledge of missions, goals, and objectives. Develops metrics to identify and measure the success of the program. Assists in identifying and evaluating potential future funding sources and contributes to the submission of grants and contracts supporting the program. Develops and manages the program's operating budget. Manages the administrative infrastructure of the program. Manages human resources, including staffing and hiring, supervision, performance development, counseling, and discipline, if warranted. Oversees and manages information systems, facilities, and space needs.
