2026 - Food Service Director - ROCKSTAR for SUMMER 2026 (Seasonal Relocation Job is not Local) at Wolfoods, Inc. Wolfoods operates summer camp kitchens across the country between May – September. This is a hands-on, demanding on-site role with on-site room, board, and travel expense assistance for lead staff. This position is not local and requires living on-site for the term of the contract. The role requires the ability to execute the Wolfoods Camp Food Service Program with knowledge of food allergens and the ability to create dishes for a variety of dietary restrictions. The individual must facilitate the duties and responsibilities of creating, implementing, and maintaining the Service & Culinary needs of the assigned camp, while maintaining sanitation, service timing, and quality across all meal periods and special requests. Ideal candidates are seasonal, enjoy high-volume production environments, and are prepared to relocate for the summer in a rustic living environment. Responsibilities
Provide excellent guest service efficiently to guests. Develop effective staff schedules based on business levels and budget guidelines. Schedule and coordinate side work for personnel. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Dining Hall according to sanitation standards. Maintain appearance and uniform standards. Presence on the floor during meal periods to monitor all dining hall operations. Collaborate with the chef on duty to maintain high standards of food presentation and sanitation. Train and develop all FOH dining personnel; provide ongoing feedback on standards and performance. Communicate daily with the Head Chef and Camp Directors on all aspects of dining hall operation. Interact with diners for general feedback. Ensure the dining hall is open and prepared 15 minutes prior to service. Implement a checklist system to facilitate dining hall operations throughout the day. Follow Wolfoods environmental initiatives to minimize waste and energy use. Maintain knowledge of menus and specifications; ensure compliance with dining hall standards. Manage payroll, inventory, and special requests; attend relevant meetings and events with camp leadership. Lead the service and culinary teams, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with subordinates, co-workers, and supervisors; motivate and foster a positive work environment. Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings; understand food safety related to special diets and allergies. Interact professionally with campers, staff, and parents. Control inventory, place orders, and manage project-related communications. Uphold Wolfoods Standards of Service and Quality; maintain Health Department sanitation standards. Manage staff, client relations, and cross-utilization of resources; plan and train staff as needed. Follow the Wolfoods Camp Food Training Program; use weights and measures to execute recipes; ensure production accuracy in timing, quantity, quality, and plating. Actively lead in planning, scheduling, directing, and training; plan for cross-utilization and utilizing excess production. Estimate production needs, establish par levels, and maintain inventory; place accurate food orders ahead of time. Ensure kitchen and equipment are maintained to health standards; teach and enforce safety regulations; assist in developing and tasting recipes; plan menus; recommend equipment purchases. May act as Front of House supervisor when necessary. Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of Commercial Kitchen Experience in a Lead Role. Minimum three professional references required with application submission. Proficient in relevant skills related to the role; quality-driven and self-motivated. High level computer literacy; able to lead a team and take direction. Minimum 6-day work week (70 hours); must live on-site in a rural setting with possible shared living spaces. Ability to stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods. ServSafe Manager Certification required; ServSafe Allergens Certification required before camp start (company sponsored). Ability to work under pressure in environments with temperature variability; able to cook from scratch. Institutional and batch cooking experience (highly desired). Ideal Candidates Are
