Fund Operations Unit Supervisor | Staff Services Manager I

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Fund Operations Unit Supervisor in the Office of Policy and Planning (OPP). The OPP promotes public health policy priorities and supports CDPH capabilities for community health improvement, informed policy development, research, and analysis. As the Fund Operations Unit Supervisor, you will oversee a small technical/professional unit of staff performing grant/fund management and development activities. Key responsibilities include: Serving in a leadership role as the Fund Operations Unit Supervisor Overseeing a small technical/professional unit of staff performing grant/fund management and development activities Producing fiscal and administrative procedures for OPP Developing administrative and program procedures to fulfill OPP's mission Leading the development of a well-functioned grant/fund system Establishing quality improvement tools and techniques to achieve performance objectives Producing and managing budgets to serve California communities Supporting CDPH's strategic priorities and advancing health equity Desirable qualifications include: Experience in public health program management Experience monitoring program effectiveness and making data-driven adjustments Knowledge of budget preparation, justification, and analysis Supervisory experience and ability to coordinate and supervise staff Experience developing and writing procedures, reports, and guidance documents Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required, addressing the desirable qualifications with specific examples of education, training, and experience. This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and requires reporting in-person to the designated headquarters office location at least two days per week.
