Overview

AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (PROGRESSMAN) with Security Clearance. Responsible for coordinating and advancing aircraft maintenance work in the assigned examiner shop, serving as the point of contact for production matters within the Integrated Production Team, and reporting status to leadership. Responsibilities

Serve as a Progressman (Aircraft Examiner) and perform technical duties to assure maintenance work progresses expeditiously in the examiner shop. Act as the aircraft point of contact for production matters to the Integrated Production Team. Provide detailed status updates on specific jobs to the supervisor, production line manager, and/or deputy IPT lead on a regular basis. Coordinate manpower requirements with the Aircraft Examiner Supervisor in alignment with production priorities. Lead the work documentation team of contractors, Aircraft Data Technicians, and Aircraft Logs and Records. Review repair/maintenance drawing requirements to identify maintenance-worthy equipment according to standards and trades practices. Perform liaison/coordination work within the shop and with other supporting shops within the organization. Reschedule jobs affected by schedule changes and ensure materials and tooling are available to accomplish the work. Requirements and Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer may be rescinded if the test is not completed or is failed. Random testing may apply. This position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites. Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes must be worn continuously during the work shift. Must successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Must obtain and maintain required certification and/or license as a condition of employment. Must be able to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and over 35 pounds with assistance or equipment. Resumes are restricted to no more than 2 pages.
