The Director of Safety will: Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and protocols. Conduct safety training and education programs, and demonstrate the use of safety equipment. Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and regulations. Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety regulations are observed at all construction sites. Prepare and present safety reports for internal and external stakeholders. Investigate incidents and accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future. Develop policies to ensure the safety of all employees, contractors, and visitors at all company-related facilities. Stay updated on current and emerging trends, laws and regulations in the safety and health field. The successful Director of Safety will have: A degree in occupational health, safety, or a related field 10-15+ years of safety experience Experience implementing safety protocols on projects Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and strategies. Experience managing projects within the civil and/or water/wastewater space Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques, and methods. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills. A strong commitment to promoting a safety culture within the organization What's on Offer
