National Sales Director - Digital Retail
role at
S&P Global . This role leads go-to-market program strategies to increase the adoption of Market Scan products in the US automotive industry and collaborates with S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan leadership to build Digital Retail partnerships and drive growth. Role level: internal grade 13. This is a senior leadership role that partners with executive teams to strengthen our value proposition, raise market awareness, influence the product roadmap, and generate new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Deliver revenue objectives for Market Scan sales and retention.
Promote Market Scan and S&P Global Mobility adoption with Digital Retail accounts.
Demonstrate product technology expertise and conduct product demos for prospective clients.
Oversee product and technical integration after the sale and oversee process integration.
Support dealer rollout and pilot phases by coordinating with Digital Retail companies and partners on scope, requirements, and launch.
Manage terms and conditions of contracts and maintain accountability with a high degree of autonomy.
Develop, track, and report business management statistics and KPIs.
Develop and maintain account plans for assigned accounts and employ a strategic selling process.
Strategy Requirements
Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned with company objectives.
Understand market dynamics, competitive landscape, and provide input to product development based on customer needs and market feedback.
Maintain current knowledge of product, industry, and competition and articulate S&P Global Mobility and Market Scan value proposition.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in sales, marketing, or business with at least 10 years of B2B direct selling, account management, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of automotive digital retail or related experience.
Willingness to travel up to 50% nationally; ability to travel).
Extensive and progressive experience in software sales or within automotive sectors.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing multiple relationships in a matrixed environment.
Strong C-suite relationship development, communication, and presentation skills.
Independent work style with strong execution, data-driven focus, and ability to drive results.
Experience leading partner go-to-market initiatives and multi-stakeholder engagements.
This role requires up to 50% travel nationally. The candidate can live and work remotely and must be able to travel to our Detroit, MI office and client locations. Expect to attend NADA and other automotive conferences as needed.
