The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a

Restaurant General Manager

to join the Verdana leadership team. This role oversees the new Veranda, reporting to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, and directly supervising 1 Food and Beverage Manager, 1 Food & Beverage Supervisor, and 55 Front of House Team Members. Located on Coronado Island, this 28-acre property features 750+ rooms, 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. Veranda offers an al fresco dining experience with ocean views and a menu of American favorites aligned to The Del’s Southern California roots. Work Location

Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton, 1500 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118 Responsibilities

Plan and direct all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, profitability, marketing initiatives, systems management, budgeting and forecasting, policy enforcement, and meetings facilitation. Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, professional development, counseling, evaluations, and recognition. Create and manage customer databases and collaborate with Sales and Marketing/Public Relations on marketing strategy. Maximize efficiency of technology systems (e.g., OpenTable). Monitor service and satisfaction trends, address issues, and implement improvements. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Initiate up-selling to promote food, beverage, and services across the hotel, including menu creation and cross-selling. Recruit, interview, and train team members. Qualifications

Required: At least 3 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale dining environment; strong leadership and training abilities; demonstrated ability in financial performance, brand reputation, local market presence, and employee relations. Preferred: Strong beverage knowledge and experience managing a unionized work environment. Classification:

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Qualifications and Attributes
