LHH is partnering with a leading law firm in San Diego to find an experienced Legal Assistant with a strong background in healthcare and administrative support. This role supports the Managing Partner and is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with at least 5 years of experience in legal administrative roles, particularly within the healthcare sector.
Salary: $100K to $115K, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid 4 Days Onsite After 90 Days
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Managing Partner, including calendar management and travel coordination
- Schedule and coordinate client and board meetings, ensuring all logistics are handled with precision
- Maintain frequent and professional client contact, acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys
- Prepare, format, and edit legal documents with a high degree of accuracy
- Manage document filing and organization using iManage or similar document management systems
- Support litigation processes including e-filing and managing the litigation lifecycle
- Assist with proofreading, redlining, and formatting legal documents
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across departments to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of legal administrative experience, with a strong emphasis on healthcare and/or administrative law
- Familiarity with Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Coverage is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and iManage
- Knowledge of CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, Comparite, and CCC Macros is a plus
- Strong understanding of federal and state court filing rules and procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage complex calendars
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, collaborative attitude with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently
