Neuro RN Job Details:

• Job Title: Locum Tenens Neuro Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Urbana, IL 61801
• Facility Setting: Neuro Medical/Surgical Unit, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/24/2026)
• Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Hours per Week: 36 (3x12 hour shifts)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2130 - $2190 per week

Neuro RN Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of recent neuro or trauma nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center required

Neuro RN Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for neurological patients
• Implement and adjust nursing interventions based on patient evaluation
• Monitor and respond to neurological changes, including seizure activity
• Administer medications and treatments following the 5 Rights of Medication Administration
• Document patient care accurately and promptly using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Promote patient safety through fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and infection control
• Educate patients and families on neurological conditions and care plans
• Delegate and oversee completion of patient care tasks to support staff
• Maintain professionalism and contribute to a positive healthcare work environment
