Periodic office meetings are also part of the role. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Must hold a current driver's license and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients per day is 5-6. Points are assigned to each type of visit and activity conducted. Contractors will typically have 5-10 patients per day. This equates to approximately 6-8 points daily. No guaranteed hours are offered. If patient census is low, contractors should discuss opportunities to float to a nearby clinic for additional hours. The types of cases include start of care and follow-ups. First-time home health workers are not accepted; recent home health experience is required. Weekend requirements vary by location and profession and should be discussed during the interview. Travelers must be open to traveling up to 75 miles from their home clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Compensation includes travel between patient homes, but not the commute to and from the first and last patient. Local candidates are welcome at the same rate. Pending licenses cannot be accepted unless they can be obtained within a few days. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of patient appointments. Delayed or incomplete documentation may affect billing and follow-up care. Declining patients may result in a cancellation. Candidates must understand that there are no guaranteed hours with this contract. Weekly productivity points must total 30 to equate to a full-time schedule. All overtime must be pre-approved. If there are insufficient patient assignments to meet financial needs, the opportunity to float to another nearby facility will be available.
