ER RN Job Details – Gadsden, AL

• Location: Gadsden, Alabama 35903
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Unit: Emergency Department (ER)
• Start Date: October 20, 2025
• End Date: January 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour shifts)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1340 - $1440

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Alabama
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Travel nurses must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department using the Nursing Process
• Utilize critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and providing patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training
• Delegate and prioritize patient care based on staff experience and education
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned healthcare personnel in the delivery of patient care
• Comply with Alabama Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures
