Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Norfolk, Virginia. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit with focus on continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data; responds to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Assists with cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Observes and documents patient status; notifies supervisor or physician as needed
• Responds to life-saving situations according to cardiac policies and procedures
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates and supports patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice
• Adheres to safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Physical ability to remain stationary and to move equipment (50–100 lbs), push/pull, and bend

• Ability to cope with deadlines and maintain concentration; adaptable to varying schedules
• Visual acuity and effective communication abilities
