The Store Manager is responsible for all facets of store operations, developing a sales culture, and delivering outstanding guest service experiences. The role involves supervising store staff, keeping the store organized and visually appealing, and supporting sales initiatives to meet or exceed goals. Responsibilities

The Store Manager will manage and lead in a multiunit capacity. Provide and model best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, and circulate throughout the store to emphasize guest focus. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system; ensure accurate transactions and top-notch guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone with professionalism. Promote GameStop benefits (new title reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards, etc.). Recruit, interview, hire, assess, develop, and retain high-performing associates. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance training for associates before opening or closing shifts; communicate store policies, inventory control, safety, and ethical responsibilities. Coordinate regular communication with store team and District Manager to implement initiatives and set guest service expectations. Schedule store associates to meet guidelines while ensuring breaks and meals are taken as required. Approve payroll and manage paid time off records; verify hours worked. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in the HR system. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandise presentation per guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders and manage inventory counts and stock placement. Manage assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at close of shift as appropriate. Lead the team to meet or exceed sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative duties as needed. Reconcile daily transactions, prepare closeout paperwork, and manage cash/deposits according to guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and report findings to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with accurate labeling and packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; address hazardous situations and report injuries per guidelines. Maintain organized store records and up-to-date manuals. Develop professional partnerships as applicable for stores on military bases. Adhere to all company policies and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 1 year of retail management experience required. At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing personality with strong people skills; provide genuine, personalized guest service. Clear verbal and written communication; English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to lead a team and work independently; meet leadership performance expectations. Operate POS system; basic math and organizational skills. Complete required paperwork accurately; follow instructions; adhere to company policies. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; manage pressure and adapt to change. Ability to work 40 hours per week with flexibility for extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform related tasks. Understanding of military ranks/insignia where applicable (stores on military bases).
