of Limited Jurisdiction in the State of Washington. It currently processes approximately 200,000 matters per year with 25 elected judges and roughly 260 employees at 8 courthouse locations. The Court is a leader in many areas involving public safety and access to justice, including the use of
problem-solving courts ,
jail-alternative programs , technology- and judge-managed
probation services . Thirteen cities contract with King County for court services provided by
KCDC . Job Summary
King County District Court is seeking a
Budget Administrative Assistant
who is organized, analytical, dependable, and solutions-focused to support court-wide
financial, Payroll
and
administrative
operations. This position is responsible for processing and maintaining
financial reports
and
records ,
supporting payroll
and
expense requests , maintaining and reconciling multiple
spreadsheets
and
accounts , and accurately coding financial, accounting, and
fiscal data . The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of balancing multiple priorities while ensuring
accuracy
and
compliance
in a fast-paced, public service environment. Job Duties
Compile
payroll
and
accounts payable data
and prepare
reports
for management review. Verify
transactions
and
records
comply with established guidelines and procedures. Determine inconsistencies, prepare corrections, and verify accuracy of
reconciliations . Perform numerical
calculations
related to
payroll
and
accounts payable . Accurately enter
coding
for financial information, including
payroll
and
accounts payable
data. Maintain accurate
financial records
and
procedures
for
audit
purposes. Assist in developing
guidelines
and
procedures , ensuring their proper application throughout operations. Perform monthly
reconciliation
for management to monitor multiple
budgets
for spending levels, projections, and
compliance . Answer inquiries from both
internal
and
external customers
regarding payroll and accounts payable matters. Effectively handle
complex issues ,
questions , and
sensitive situations
with Court management, Court leadership, and elected officials. Process
purchases orders
and
invoices
for all locations. Track and receive items and research
price comparisons
and suppliers. Prepare comprehensive
documentation
for Court-related business trips of court staff and judicial officials based on established policies and procedures. Provide support in making
travel arrangements
in Concur. Process incoming
mail
and
documents
ensuring security and
confidentiality . Select mail to handle where the response requires specialized knowledge of the assigned function or is time sensitive. Perform general
administrative duties
on behalf of the Budget team Other duties

Associate's degree
with 2 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Strong

external stakeholders . Skilled in handling
detailed tasks
