Job Summary
The
Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
represents the company's professional and caring face to patients. This role involves
collecting high-quality blood samples , preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining strict adherence to laboratory and safety procedures. The PSR I ensures a safe and comfortable experience for patients while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
venipuncture and capillary blood draws
with accuracy and care Verify patient identity, label specimens, and confirm accuracy post-collection Maintain proper documentation, sample integrity, and chain of custody Adhere to infection control and quality assurance standards Provide
excellent patient service , explaining procedures clearly and compassionately Maintain a clean and organized workspace per safety standards Demonstrate punctuality and dependability in assigned schedules Travel to nearby locations for coverage if necessary Uphold confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Required Experience
Minimum
6 months of phlebotomy experience
required 1+ year preferred, including pediatric and geriatric collections Prior experience in a
patient service center or healthcare setting
preferred Customer service background in retail or healthcare environments is a plus Required Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent -
Required Medical assistant or paramedic training - Preferred Phlebotomy certification
- Preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA) Valid driver's license and
reliable personal transportation
(rideshare not accepted) Required Skills
Proficient in specimen collection and labeling Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills Strong data entry and organizational accuracy Punctual, dependable, and professional Preferred Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency highly desirable Experience in high-volume clinical environments Flexibility to cover shifts as business needs change Additional Details
Candidate must reside within
20-25 minutes of worksite Attendance and punctuality are mandatory for contract compliance Rate is based on verified years of
