The

Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II)

serves as the professional face of the organization, responsible for drawing quality blood specimens and ensuring accurate specimen preparation for laboratory testing. This role requires a blend of

technical phlebotomy skill ,

exceptional patient interaction , and

adherence to clinical standards

to maintain quality and trust across all service locations.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and process

forensic and clinical specimens

in compliance with established standards. Verify patient identification and ensure

accurate labeling

post-collection. Maintain complete and compliant documentation of specimen collections. Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure a safe, professional environment. Travel between multiple patient service centers as needed. Demonstrate leadership behaviors and

principles. Adapt to changing work schedules, training assignments, and priorities. Required Experience

Minimum

3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. At least

2 years in a Patient Service Center

(PSC) environment preferred. Customer service background in healthcare, retail, or service industry. Experience with

keyboard and data entry

systems. Required Skills

Proficient phlebotomy technique

and ability to manage high-volume collections. Strong

organizational and multitasking

skills. Excellent interpersonal and

customer service

communication. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Reliable

transportation , valid

driver's license , and clean driving record. Flexibility for travel, overtime, and location coverage. Preferred Skills

Medical assistant or paramedic training. Phlebotomy certification

(preferred; not required in Texas). Ability to handle confidential health data with professionalism. Benefits
