Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II (PSR II)
serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in collecting and preparing blood specimens for laboratory analysis. This role requires
excellent phlebotomy skills , patient care, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance in a high-volume medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections. Verify and document patient demographic information; ensure proper specimen labeling in the patient's presence. Maintain required documentation and records of collections and processing. Provide a professional, safe, and supportive environment for patients. Work independently while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory procedures. Travel to and cover multiple service locations as needed. Support the company's

and provide superior customer service. Required Experience
Minimum of
3 years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. At least 2 years in a
Patient Service Center
environment preferred. Customer service experience in retail, healthcare, or service settings. Keyboard/data entry skills. Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Additional training such as
Medical Assistant
or
Paramedic training
preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory only in CA, NV, WA). Required Skills
Proficient in
phlebotomy techniques
for diverse patient populations. Ability to
work independently
in high-volume, fast-paced settings. Strong
customer service and communication
skills. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotating schedules. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if travel required). Preferred Skills
Familiarity with compliance documentation and specimen tracking systems. Knowledge of medical safety standards and infection control practices. Additional Skills
Ability to multitask and manage priorities. Adaptability and willingness to support multiple locations. Strong organizational commitment and teamwork focus. Benefits
