Responsibilities
General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing a range of tasks across store areas as needed to support customer service and store operations.
Essential Functions
- Understand that safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors in all tasks.
- Maintain a safe, clutter-free sales floor and clear egress to emergency exits; report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service; greet customers with eye contact and courtesy; assist with merchandise and answer questions.
- Respond promptly to customer service needs and call for Store Leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning tasks (e.g., sweeping, mopping, dusting) and replenish restroom supplies to maintain store areas.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
- Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep store neat and merchandised to standards.
- Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and present items per guidelines; assist customers with brand/name familiarity within departments.
- Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follow MOS policies and proper disposal approvals.
- Handle cash, checks, card transactions, refunds, voids, and offline procedures with accuracy.

Qualifications And Special Skills
- Ability to communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
Physical Requirements / ADA
- Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PCs as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; push/pull and lift more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other supplies; some positions may require other qualifications.
- Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling and lifting more than 20 pounds regularly.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $15.00 - $15.50 per hour, dependent on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Other rewards vary by position and location.
